The areas and zip codes in closest proximity to Fort Belvoir are: Lorton (22079), Springfield (22153, 22152), Alexandria (22306, 22308, 22309, 22310 and 22315 - note 22315 is known as Kingstowne) and Fairfax Station (22309). That said, some of our military personnel stationed on Fort Belvoir choose to purchase a home in Woodbridge, which is Prince William County. The housing prices in Woodbridge are lower making them more affordable, however, commute time is increased. Woodbridge zip codes are 22191, 22192 (includes Lake Ridge) and 22193. As far as market conditions are concerned, there is no better time to purchase a home in this area than now. Bolstered by the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) initiative, nearly 20,000 jobs are moving to Fort Belvoir and Quantico MCB. We have already begun to see the influx of military personnel, consultants and other industry-specific professionals migrating to the local area and we expect this influx to continue through 2013. Purchasing a home now will afford the homebuyer leverage to sell in the future when demand and prices are expected to increase.
